On my way home from the Eastside this evening, I stopped by the first Seattle Whole Foods to check out their cheese counter. On my winding route through the store I passed by the meat counter, and was just about floored. I have posted my opinion several times on the company’s policy of buying lamb from New Zealand and shipping it over 7000 miles instead of supporting and promoting lamb humanely raised in this country. Well, much to my chagrin, they seem to be well on their way to reforming this policy, since they are now shipping in lamb from Iceland, and that’s only 3600 miles away from Seattle…
